Production creator Lin-Manuel Miranda re-tells the tale of Alexander Hamilton, former U.S. Secretary of Treasury, through Hip-Hop and R&B music that has captivated millions of fans for almost a decade. "I understand how ridiculous the elevator pitch for this show is," says Miranda. "It sounds improbable. And then once you start hearing about Hamilton's life story, it sort of makes sense". Alexander Hamilton’s life is a chaotic one, to say the least.

From starting the Federalist Papers to establishing the U.S. Coast Guard, and eventually meeting his tragic end at the hands of Vice President Aaron Burr. Hamilton deals with a number of key points in the Nations history.

Lin-Manuel Miranda not only wrote and produced this award-winning work, but he also took on the role of Alexander Hamilton for the shows first run.

The acting ensemble of Hamilton, despite taking on the roles of white historical figures, is composed of non-white actors. "This is a story about America then, told by America now," says Show creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. The current cast of Hamilton comprises talented actors such as Trey Curtis as Alexander Hamilton, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Stephanie Jae Park as Eliza Hamilton, and others.
