Lin-Manuel Miranda not only wrote and produced this masterpiece, but he also acted as Alexander Hamilton for the shows first run.

The cast of the Musical, despite playing as white historical figures, is composed of non-white actors. "This is a story about America then, told by America now," says Musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
